Considering the attitude of the Convention as far as slavery goes, I can't really say I'm particularly impressed.
That's my attitude towards people who go around dribbling about how nice Washington was to free his slaves when he died. Although I supose it's a slight step up from the likes of Jefferson and Patrick Henry, who couldn't even do that. :o
After the Revolution, Lafayette suggested that the two men buy an estate together
My gaydar, it went crazy about there. XD But then I do think Lafayette was rather unhealthily obsessed with Washington. D: I always laugh when I think of the fact that he named one of his kids Georges Washington. Giving your kid the same first name as someone you admire? Okay. Giving them the first AND last names of that person? Uh.
