It's unfortunate they don't even seem able to use images from the period they're talking about. I mean, 19th century art is great, but it can never match something created at the time, for obvious reasons. Especially when the 19th century image is obvious affective propaganda.
From what I've read of Tanith Lee, although there's no hatesex she's still on the adolescent drool trip. From what I remember, that sounds about accurate. Her writing style also reads like fanfiction by a 13 year-old. If said 13 year-old had swallowed a book of mythology first.
