Stupid Vendéens. This is what the medallion says on the back (since it's hard to read): "SA MORT MIT FIN A SON PARTI--ET 22 TETES TOMBENT EN MEME TEMPS. COUTHON. HENRIOT. ST. JUST. ETC. ETC."

Is it normal to stick a man and his would-be assassin face to face on a medal?

Two things!

One, I think you know which is my fave from this batch. ;3

Second, I have a presentation to do on Maxime this Thursday, and it has to include visual aids. Can you pretty please send me the best portraits of him in this book? I mean, the outstandingly lovely ones? I am absolutely determined to leave that class with as many people loving him as possible!
