I found a play about Thermidor by Gaston Crémieux, a condemned communard who wrote it when he was in prison... Creepy and sad as that might be--not to mention the subject matter--I decided to translate it for you before I leave for New York again. Admittedly, it's not the world's best translation, but I don't think it's missing anything essential by not rhyming, and I did translate all 116 pages in only three days, so there are bound to be some mistakes and incoherencies. I apologize in advance for these shortcomings.
