This movie is really going to suck. Muchly.

Apparently the People are reduced to the stereotypical "angry mob" so if the average viewer does not like barbie-pink!Antoinette, they'll have little choice in sympathies, because she and the rest of the Court will be the only human characters.

It's a lot easier for most people to sympathize with one person, even if she is the most annoying bimbo they have ever seen, than a "mob" with a good reason to be angry!

That said, from what I can tell, Liberation is treating this with irony, and seems to be pointing out that the subject matter is somewhat....irrelevant: big surprise there!
...at any rate, it's not a positive review, and I like the publication overall, so...

I have yet to see a good Hérault-Séchelles in a movie. I couldn't find him in "Danton" and LRF's version was embarassing. He looked more like Brissot. And Brissot looked like a cross between Collot d'Herbois and someone else. Who wasn't Brissot.

I doubt you could find anyone interested in the topic at all who would volunteer not to see the movie at least once for our boycott. So as I said, it would be seven people against the movie industry. Somehow, I doubt they'd be hurt.
