PICTURES! :D

I finally got the pictures from last Halloween developed! (In case anyone was unaware, I went as ghost!Éléonore.) They came out somewhat... interestingly, but they're still worth looking at, for one reason or another.

I suppose the creepy expression is appropriate... The hat is not though, I should mention: that kind of hat is from about 1870, and thus Éléonore could not be wearing it. But it was the only thing I had that would keep the veil on, so there you go. >.>

This one's a bit blurry.

This is me without the veil, looking much too happy. Though, on the other hand, if I'm a ghost, I might be reunited with Maxime (whose face is on that medal, btw), so perhaps that's the reason...

...Then again, judging by that face, perhaps I haven't been.

Here's another one where I look far too happy. So I decided it must be because I've finally gotten revenge on the Thermidorians, somehow (as will happen in my next fic :D). Thus, the red coloring really is Symbolic, to borrow [profile] elvenmongoose's term.

It's the same idea for this one, but mostly just because my expression was so scary. Your guess is as good as mine as to what was going on in this last picture, because I really can't say I remember.

That's all I have for Halloween pictures, sadly. But here, have a bonus picture of my cat:

It's not a very good picture, but this is Égalité.
And what the hell, have Combeferre and the unimaginatively named Muffin too:

...And my mom's foot. Just ignore that. >__>

I did. >__>

It's hard to get pictures of mine too, but usually because they're trying to smother you with love. ;-;

It's okay--I was mocking myself, in a way. One doesn't really have to have historically accurate Halloween costumes. I'm just obsessive.

Awww. Mine have moods like that too sometimes, but usually they act fairly statuesque. Except when I want to photograph them. At which point they run away, or refuse to look at the camera, or some combination of the two.

I am too, I am just not in a good area for costuming.

Awww. ;__; Maybe they think you're going steal their souls.

That's most unfortunate. I know what you mean though--there's not really much you can do without the proper resources on hand.

In a sweet and uncold way, naturally. O.O Does that make me some kind of cat devil?

;__; It's unfortunate.

Aww. Mine are just cuddly all the time. They aren't very dignified. Possibly. O_O

But at some point you'll be able to move someplace that does have adequate resources for making historically accurate costumes, right? :D?

Awww, that's very cute too. ^__^ There are worse things to be, I suppose.

That might also be helpful. -_-

Still, it wouldn't be very nice to still cats' souls...

I can kind of sew. Just not with a machine.

I'm sure you wouldn't really, but it's a common belief.

Meh, machines are overrated. (Well, at least as far as historical accuracy is concerned: for anything before 1830 they didn't have them, and you wouldn't want to use the primitive type they had in the early years of the sewing machine anyway--provided you could even get one.)

What, that people steal cats' souls? O.o

That's probably true.

No, that getting your picture taken will steal your soul.

It is indeed. *nods*

Who honestly thinks that? O.o

The Australian aborigines did at some point. I don't know if they still do.

That sounds plausible enough, I suppose.
