PICTURES! :D

I finally got the pictures from last Halloween developed! (In case anyone was unaware, I went as ghost!Éléonore.) They came out somewhat... interestingly, but they're still worth looking at, for one reason or another.

I suppose the creepy expression is appropriate... The hat is not though, I should mention: that kind of hat is from about 1870, and thus Éléonore could not be wearing it. But it was the only thing I had that would keep the veil on, so there you go. >.>

This one's a bit blurry.

This is me without the veil, looking much too happy. Though, on the other hand, if I'm a ghost, I might be reunited with Maxime (whose face is on that medal, btw), so perhaps that's the reason...

...Then again, judging by that face, perhaps I haven't been.

Here's another one where I look far too happy. So I decided it must be because I've finally gotten revenge on the Thermidorians, somehow (as will happen in my next fic :D). Thus, the red coloring really is Symbolic, to borrow [profile] elvenmongoose's term.

It's the same idea for this one, but mostly just because my expression was so scary. Your guess is as good as mine as to what was going on in this last picture, because I really can't say I remember.

That's all I have for Halloween pictures, sadly. But here, have a bonus picture of my cat:

It's not a very good picture, but this is Égalité.
And what the hell, have Combeferre and the unimaginatively named Muffin too:

...And my mom's foot. Just ignore that. >__>

Awesome. :D Even if it's not accurate, it's still spiffy.

Your kitties are adorable. &hearts

Thank you. ^__^ Oh, it's largely accurate; it's just the hat that's not.

They are. :D I'll have to take better pictures of them sometime though.

Oh, yey.

Squee! They look incredibly pretty and dignified.

One can't have historically inaccurate Halloween costumes, after all. XD

Pretty and dignified describes them well... Given that, it's odd how difficult it is to get a proper picture of them. :/

I did. >__>

It's hard to get pictures of mine too, but usually because they're trying to smother you with love. ;-;

It's okay--I was mocking myself, in a way. One doesn't really have to have historically accurate Halloween costumes. I'm just obsessive.

Awww. Mine have moods like that too sometimes, but usually they act fairly statuesque. Except when I want to photograph them. At which point they run away, or refuse to look at the camera, or some combination of the two.

I am too, I am just not in a good area for costuming.

Awww. ;__; Maybe they think you're going steal their souls.

That's most unfortunate. I know what you mean though--there's not really much you can do without the proper resources on hand.

In a sweet and uncold way, naturally. O.O Does that make me some kind of cat devil?

;__; It's unfortunate.

Aww. Mine are just cuddly all the time. They aren't very dignified. Possibly. O_O

But at some point you'll be able to move someplace that does have adequate resources for making historically accurate costumes, right? :D?

Awww, that's very cute too. ^__^ There are worse things to be, I suppose.

That might also be helpful. -_-

Still, it wouldn't be very nice to still cats' souls...

I can kind of sew. Just not with a machine.

I'm sure you wouldn't really, but it's a common belief.

Meh, machines are overrated. (Well, at least as far as historical accuracy is concerned: for anything before 1830 they didn't have them, and you wouldn't want to use the primitive type they had in the early years of the sewing machine anyway--provided you could even get one.)

What, that people steal cats' souls? O.o

That's probably true.

No, that getting your picture taken will steal your soul.

OOOOOH, I like those! The last one particularly. With the creepy looks and the red. Awww, all so sweet. ^__^ <3

What sort of hat could she wear in the appropriate period?

XD Thank you. I tried--it's not easy being a ghost. Or making a decent costume for one.

It would have to be more bonnet-like. The one I had perches on top of one's head, which is a later style. And I'm not so sure she would be wearing flowers, even if they were all black. >.>

It mustn't be. But at least, your ghost has no reason for throwing a creepy, cathartic party with the bottle of fake blood having plenty of gore all over you. XDDDDD

Well... Maxime liked flowers, so, maybe? ;.;

That's true, I admit. Still, she probably didn't have a very nice death. If such a thing exists. >__>

Aww. ;__; I hadn't thought of that. You're probably right. Which puts me in mind of the other thing this costume is missing, though it's not particularly apparent if you're not looking for it: I wanted to find a ring like the one Esquiros says Maxime gave Éléonore, but I didn't find one in time. Oooh, sweet costume + pics. =D You do look quite devious in the last one. XD

KITTIES AND PUPPY. :DD Always win. I kind of got a giggle out of their names being Égalité, Combeferre, and...Muffin. XD Still, 2 out of 3 on originality is good - better than mine, with Skittles, Shadow, and Jasmine.

Thank you. ^__^ I'm not quite sure what was going on there, surprsingly enough. O.o

I'll have to post more pictures of them at some point (ones where you can see them properly). I got Muffin when I was only 12, if that counts as an excuse for her name. >__> And I'm guessing your sister probably had a lot to do with those names...?

That's a viable excuse: I would almost certainly have done equally as badly at naming my pets if I had gotten them at 7 and 10--and as you can see, I already did at 12. >.>
